What kinds of Social Media Content are most successful For Nonprofits?

Many of our nonprofits have trouble creating shareable content. So what types of content are other nonprofits having success with?

We have some answers from the 2024 Nonprofit Communications Trends Report. If you don’t receive this report from Nonprofit Marketing Guide, you should sign up to receive it. Nonprofit Marketing Guide is a great resource in general, and this annual report is particularly helpful.

Some of the most effective social media comes from:

  • How-tos

  • Opinion Pieces

  • Memes

  • Infographics

  • Hacks

  • Inspirational Content

  • Quizzes, and

  • Case studies/research

Since we know that one of our major goals for social media is to create shareable content, consider these kinds of content next time you’re planning your content calendar!

Also, can we just notice how many of these fit into the two big categories of social media content: show your nonprofits expertise, or inspire people? Many of these content types are great ways to demonstrate your expertise.

At Capital Hope Media, we help nonprofits communicate more effectively by focusing on Three Areas: Branding & Identity, Communications Planning, and Content Creation. If your nonprofit is struggling in one of those three areas, schedule a meeting with us, and let’s see if CHM can help your nonprofit improve.
